We spent the weekend at our first Northwest Chocolate Festival. It was a weekend filled with so many sweet connections and the highest quality cacao. We shared our superfood chocolate with thousands of people and we loved witnessing positive reactions from people of all ages. Our youngest supporter was 8 and she LOVED that our bars are not "fake sweet".

This was a big event for our small company and we experienced some growth hiccups along the way. That didn’t stop this sister duo from rocking it 💪🏽🍫💃. We'll share our biggest takeaways and all the photos in another blog post at the end of the week, but here's a quick reflection for now.

:: MODIFY ::

A few weeks ago I was water coloring and had a solid idea in mind for what I wanted to create. When the blue ran into the green, I told my roommate, “I fucked up.” He looked at the page, then back at me and said, “no you didn’t. Modify.” Oh yeah!!! We’re the artists here. It’s okay to pivot. It’s okay to surrender to what is. Put your best foot forward, your HEART into what you do, MODIFY, and create something better than you imagined. This is how we grow. 🙌🏽

This weekend we modified A LOT at our first big chocolate show and we experienced that magic of surrender. We’re so grateful for all the other chocolatiers who shared their knowledge, their support, and their products. And we’re infinitely grateful to everyone who came out to support conscious chocolate companies. We look forward to the next one!

(Chuckle opportunity: every time I hear or type the word "pivot", I think of this FRIENDS clip with Ross 😆 --->)
