CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES FOR STRESS RELIEF
There's something about baking that I'm finding quite nourishing these days. It's quite a stress-reducing activity. Last week, I talked about my top ways to manage stress. Today, I'm adding more nutritional facts about foods (specifically medicinal mushrooms) that also support stress management.
The cookies are nourishing on their own, but what makes them really special and stress-relieving is the use of our Chill chocolate bar as the chocolate chunks.

Besides the medicinal mushroom chocolate, these chocolate chip cookies are also intentionally made without inflammatory ingredients. Free from gluten, dairy, and refined flour/sugar. They're good for you and extremely satisfying.

2 cups almond or oat flour
1/4 cup melted coconut oil
3 Tablespoons pure maple syrup
1/4 cup chocolate chunks (cut up Live A Lot UNWIND chocolate bar)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- Combine all ingredients in a large bowl to make dough.
- Roll up 1/2 Tablespoon of dough into a ball and place on parchment-lined baking sheet. Flatten out ball lightly with fingers or a fork. Continue with remaining dough until all used up.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, until lightly browned on the bottom and top.
Makes ~20 cookies
