There's something about baking that I'm finding quite nourishing these days. It's quite a stress-reducing activity. Last week, I talked about my top ways to manage stress. Today, I'm adding more nutritional facts about foods (specifically medicinal mushrooms) that also support stress management.

The cookies are nourishing on their own, but what makes them really special and stress-relieving is the use of our Chill chocolate bar as the chocolate chunks.

The Chill bar contains a blend of 30 medicinal mushrooms. Medicinal mushrooms are a longevity hot spot food - meaning they're a common food that people who live the longest consume regularly. The consumption of these mushrooms go back for hundreds and hundreds of years for their health benefits.

Medicinal mushrooms are great for mental clarity, strengthening the immune system, and are adaptogens. An adaptogen is a food that helps the body adapt to stress, therefore making it more resilient to stress in the long run. By consuming medicinal mushrooms on a daily basis, we are not only helping our body deal with stress in a more beneficial way, but we're also setting ourselves up for being able to feel more calm and sharp during situations where we would normally feel frantic and anxious.

It's not every day that we find ourselves consuming mushrooms like reishi, chaga, and turkey tail, so I decided to infuse my chocolates with these intelligent foods to make it an easier portal for consumption. You can't taste the mushrooms in the chocolate either! They simply add major nutrition benefits and an earthy delicious flavor.

Besides the medicinal mushroom chocolate, these chocolate chip cookies are also intentionally made without inflammatory ingredients. Free from gluten, dairy, and refined flour/sugar. They're good for you and extremely satisfying.

Take some time this weekend to bake these delicious cookies and at the same time enhance your health.
