3 WAYS TO STAY INSPIRED DURING FALL
The cooler days are approaching and it's so easy to stay indoors, sleep in longer, and simply let go of our rituals that help us feel most alive. Not to mention the added stress from the holidays.
Our bodies thrive best when they flow with the seasons and it's up to us to adapt in a way that still helps our best selves shine through. Naturally, when it's cold and dark out, it's a time to nurture ourselves and preserve our energy until the spring. That said, it does not mean staying in and never moving our bodies or disregarding any activities that helps us feel nourished - physically, emotionally, and mentally.
The fall & winter seasons are a great opportunity to look inward and reflect on our emotions, desires/goals, and life path. It's the perfect time to tend to inner work that we might have pushed aside and let go of anything that does not serve us anymore!
In order to do this, we must still engage ourselves to stay inspired, active, and energized.
Here are our top tips for staying nourished & inspired during the colder months:
- Journaling - Writing is a great way to express ourselves and release emotions that we have been hiding or holding on to. Take some time to reflect and let your thoughts and feelings flow out of you. Writing can be a great way to notice any blockages, fears, and most importantly, accomplishments and gratitude. Celebrate all the good that you've done!
- Movement - Winter does not mean you need to lose your movement/exercise routine. Your body still needs mobility to feel spaciousness and flexibility. When you're not up to bundling up and taking a walk outside, you can incorporate movement into your days by stretching, dancing, following an online yoga class, or moving in any way that feels good to you.
- Cooking & Baking - There's something about being in the kitchen with whole ingredients that can spark a lot of inspiration and clarity. Choose your favorite healthy recipe or make something intuitively and let the process be a meditative one that leaves you feeling refreshed and grounded.
